Spread the love

Reading Time: < 1 minute

An evocative poem about nature and love, by Neelam, exclusively for Different Truths.

As she sat trite
On the sands of the beach
Watching the mindless crabs passing by,
Her glance fell on the enthusiastic sea gulls
Flying nowhere.

The whole setting showed signs of emptiness
And yet, the sea gulls were making the environment live,
Which made her continuously gaze at them.

She eyed
The azure of the sea
And the azure of the horizons –
And somewhere she could feel an emptiness
Even in between the two.

“Maybe, love can fill the void”,
She said to herself,
But the hapless thought crept in,
That the twain can never meet.

The sea gulls
Weren’t seen anymore.
