A poignant poem about the mystical magic of nature, by Ketaki, exclusively for Different Truths.

You tread softly,
Like a butterfly visiting…
On my moments of sadness and depleting energy.

You create indelible patterns of comfort,
with your soft touch, treading ever so softly.
So tenderly, as not to dismantle,
the equilibrium of a tired mind,
precariously balanced.

Vulnerable, yet searching, internal territories,
war zones of undercurrents,
Ready for an explosion.
Confusion of anxieties and live explosive bombs,
Where dreams were shelved into dark corners,
Were lost leaving angry gunpowder stains.
Tattered rags plugging light, to create the darkness…
Internal wounds gaping, oozing and restless.
Sleep deprivation, a constant weary tiredness.

You tread softly, like a butterfly,
Visiting on my depleting energy,
Your approach, gentle and caring.
I dissolve at your touch.

You were the three quarter moon
Amongst the silhouettes of disengagement,
Healing the darker moments with a slice of hope,
A few comforting stars singing lullabies.
You were the dark exoticness,
A glow of healing touch,
Slowly growing, as a reflection on an
aquamarine pool, a bubbling stream, a winding river,
A calming, of moon-soaked healing euphoria,
Creating indelible patterns,
Of mystic magic.
Your soft touch healing wounds and frissons.
