The spirit of sports never lets a person give up. It teaches you to try excelling in any field. Irrespective of the fact you may not shine in the field, you try out in any arena. Once a district-level kabaddi defender, Tanumita Chakraborty, whose defence skills helped her a place in the district girls’ team Nadia win trophies. She did excel in her school team in class 11 girls kabaddi team. She being an all-rounder helped her school win the Inter-schoolgirls’ kabaddi trophy and bagged her place in the district team of Nadia. Her excellent tackles, locks and grips have been her main strength. However, after some time her family did not allow her to play further and now, she is married and is handling her own online business.
Apart from being a kabaddi girl, she did well in her studies.
Apart from being a kabaddi girl she did well in studies. In Madyamik (high school) and higher secondary level she secured more than 75 percent. She used to be an all-rounder. Being good in sports and studies is a rare talent. In her school, her teachers loved her for this. At some point of time people, who are into sports and games, studies are somehow secondary, but she maintained a good balance.
But in kabaddi her locks are inescapable. She trapped numerous raiders in her grips making opponent teams point-scoring raider girl helpless captive with a smiling face. As a defender, she made the opponent give up on trying to escape and surrender. But she never surrendered a point, while being a raider. This spirit is applicable in any profession.
