Covid-19 pandemic has changed our lives in many ways. We are introduced to social distancing. Children, at home, and busy with online classes. Many schools are using WhatsApp and Zoom apps. There are ban and caution regarding the Zoom App in our neighbouring country. Certain cases are happening regarding Zoom use. The former students are getting links and passwords from their friends in the school and then entering the class and teachers perceive that they are the present students with different Ids. These students are then disrupting the classes by playing songs, slangs, etc. Some children do not have a personal mobile, and they use their parent’s mobile. That’s how these problems are being noticed. And there are always chances of social media accounts being hacked by Zoom App.
The former students are getting links and passwords from their friends in the school and then entering the class and teachers perceive that they are the present students with different Ids. These students are then disrupting the classes by playing songs, slangs, etc.
In WhatsApp, the problems are more complicated. When the class begins, the students started good morning greetings one after another. As a result, there is a massive waste of time. The calamitous situation is that some students are sharing pictures at late nights, which are objectionable and obscene. When some are aware of the mistake, they are pressing delete. But they are forgetting to press “delete for everyone” and pressing “Delete for myself “option accidentally.
As a consequence, parents, teachers are mortified profoundly, and other students are lured to do the same. Some students are posting their own “Love promoting” and “In an open relationship” pictures. Some pictures are indecent. These are disconcerting as well. Many students are engaged in chats. Parents have duties to monitor their children. How they will watch their children’s activities is up to them. But monitoring is a must. Otherwise, they might find themselves in an incredibly awkward and thorny situation. The Internet has given us convenience, no doubt. But there is always coexistence of good and evil.
The Internet has exposed many vile things, which are dangerous for children, and these awful elements open the ways to stray away from the right path. It is a wakeup call for the parents to monitor the online activities of their children during the pandemic.

Parents must inform the school if any malicious activities are going on after the online school time.
The schools have duties as well. By only posting protocol, rules and guidelines, they cannot avoid the responsibility of strict monitoring. As the admin of the online classes, they need to be cautious and use secure options to monitor the activities available in the app. If required, they need to restrict all kinds of activities after 9 pm. If students don’t pay heed to the guidelines, they must inform the parents with a warning. Schools can also seek advice from their parents.
We are going through hard times. To protect our children from exposure and involvement to despicable activities, parents and schools must work together.
