A poem on a social issue by Abhishek that was read out in a recent seminar organised by Different Truths and Allahabad Museum, exclusively for Different Truths.
She stood there, Inaudibly-Invisible,
Unnoticed to the naked eye,
Concealed in the company of,
The Wild ferine crowd,
Savagely holding the,
Bruising windy-gun,
With bullets powerful enough to destroy my Psyche. My heart hammering constantly,
With a Vague Repellant Flavor of
Helplessness and Misfortune.
Unable to employ my words to expression.

“Speak up!! Don’t be nervous”, shouted the foregathering.
But I was drowning into my thoughts
“It’s just in your mind”, I kept repeating.
“Oizys, am I. The Goddess of Anxiety and Depression.
I demand your obedience, your confidence is my price”, said she,
Her eyes glaring with
Grief, Death and Uncertainty.I ceased, winded stillness.
Sweat began to rain down from my forehead
A pungent terror rode down my spine
Fingers trembling
The neurons lose control
As I fell down from the stage
Yet again!!
