Dr. Jernail’s socio-political commentary in this poem, exclusively for Different Truths.

God’s world is highly organised naturopolis.
Existence is the driving force of creation.
Copulation is a physical necessity.
Love and hate are words
Which work in the
Weird world of human beings
Who live in a wild sanctuary called civilisation.

There is only a semblance of orderliness,
Actually they are like stray cattle
Left in the streets drugged with
Ideas of good and evil,
Love and hatred,
And they move about in the the streets
Of Troy disguised as a horse.

The more civilised naturopolis
Does not believe  in killing, hoarding or even manufacturing war weapons.
Those living in Arabia are not oil rich,
Nor those found in the Nigerian suburbs
Any the poor.

Rich and poor is the tall talk
Of the merely civilised human habitations,
Where wealth and greed erect
Forts of Folly and the breed
Stud farms of Nonsense and Lust.

And they have huge traditional festivals.
Where they sing at animal dances
And marry using fire.
And swear in the name of gods.

The animals, alarmed at the movement
Of stray cattle,
Organised a discussion forum
Of civilised denizens
And at first meeting,  the top agenda was:
Curbing the menace of Stray Animals.
