Spread the love

Reading Time: < 1 minute

An evocative poem, through a woman’s gaze, exclusively for Different Truths.

And it seemed ...
Nothing was permanent
A constant rebellion of conflict would descend
Her thoughts wandering, all scattered
Jumping at all wavelengths
Sometimes clamouring for company
Sometimes enjoying her solitary confinements
One day it seemed her life was at an end, all bleak desolate resonance
And the next day it again seemed as if all was supreme and jubilant
Her mind creating turbulations
A constant...
Some days she felt she could not stand him or his stance
Going mad every minute, a nuance
Over his turbulent gestures and words said
And next day she just loved the way his eyes and hands made love to her,
mapping her maps with acute graveness
Her molten feelings simply swept
As if nothing existed beyond her adulations, a web
She wept for that abidingness in love
Which she could never get ...
Not at all easy in her uneasiness ...
Melting and thawing
Tying and untying
Living and dying
Through her laughter
She often wept
In the silent roaring
Of transience
