Spread the love

Reading Time: < 1 minute

An evocative poem about suffering, by Amita, exclusively for Different Truths.

The remnants of my silence
Hung on the words
Heart-felt, held, weighed
On my tongue heavy –
Unuttered.

Like the remnants of my tears
Dried on my cheeks –
Heart-wrenched, drenched,
Taste on my lips salty –
Unwiped.

The remnants of my hope
Breathe out with my sigh –
Escape from my soul –
Unheld
