An evocative poem, by Rituparna, celebrating the Nature poet, exclusively for Different Truths.

These dig out bit by bit from the earthy ground,
upturn one part of soil and bury another,
in a perfect poise.
Those fall with every fall from the twirling twigs,
murmur through the bed they create,
in a melodious concert.
These go on rippling through the woods,
fawn merrily with jolts and jumps in
every rhythm and rhyme.
Those flap wings in suave symmetry,
streaming through the fluid of air,
afloat in their perfect beats.
These sway and move in meanders,
whizz by me with whistling tunes
in a motion, to and fro.
Those swash in and surge back,
their foamy feelings levitate the soul
to the crests of ecstasy.
These are earthworms, those are leaves
these are brooks and those are birds,
These are breeze and those are waves,
these are ones to name a few.
These nature poets inspire me night and day,
those are their poems that make me gay.
