Spread the love

Reading Time: < 1 minute

A love poem by Debarati, evoking nature, deals with inner turmoil – exclusively for Different Truths.

Love flows between us like a river,
a dry river!
that once swelled up
on a full moon night.
The pebbles gather slowly
in my veins.
Making way hurriedly to my heart.
The night shimmers
on my nerves
while we have a parley together
with the stars.
On days the moon sleeps between us,
you look at me with perfidy.
I stumble upon my lost words.
I hesitate to gather courage.
Forlorn, I lay on
my moth-eaten bed.
waiting for a new dawn.
but the sunrays fail yet again
to wipe out my inner mayhem.
