Kamrun presents an evocative poetic journey on DifferentTruths.com, capturing urban isolation, quiet human resilience, and silent nature.
The stranger of the city is standing in
the attic and chatting with a raven.
As a philosopher, he is opening a diary of a dead world
that is almost merging into the abyss.
But life is going on...
Still, a few clothes are hanging on
the rope of the balcony.
which sway lightly in the winter breeze.
A vegetable vendor still shouts in his voice.
to attract customers' attention.
Some young boys were gossiping at the roadside.
Still, they pass comments, see a young girl,
and call her with a light whistle.
An older man who is sitting regularly in the
dilapidated dispensary in the
neighbourhood notices everything
but still pretends like he does not see anything.
A bougainvillaea wrapped in a pink saree
stands on the stairs as a witness to everything.
But still, it does not deny spreading
the ray of hope to the mind of a stranger.
Maybe not, because it is a tree.
If it were a human, it might not be able to.
Because a human can never
behave like a tree ever…
And that is why a human can
never touch the sky ever.
