Torrents fell
from sky
this time
sky neither
kissing or embracing
the earth
but slashing
virulent,
a drunken sot
bearing up
his wife,
the earth...
the hills fall,
flood
inundates...
unawares
all fall victim
trees, humans,
non-humans...
everywhere
the scramble
to exist!
is it
a cleaning up
cosmic for
the core
damage to
ecology,
the essential,
order of things
dishevelled
by man!
how ruthless
he was
slicing off
hills to
set up
tourist resorts
deviating rivers
killing their
flow
dumping earth
with inorganic
waste
polluting water,
air, earth...
has it arrived,
the time for
another cosmic
cataclysm,
collapse
sans life,
maybe life
deferred
to another plane
in the intricate
evolution
of things?
Are we the culprits
turning to
perennial bearers
of the
changeless change
of in the
inevitable cycle?
