Otrovert Energy: Thriving Between Introvert and Extrovert Worlds

I just found out! There’s finally a name for us
As introverts or extroverts, we round out
We are a contented lot. Between the two, we ‘fit not’

We have no clinical/relational disorders
Fitting nowhere, we are solo performers
Personifying ‘otherness’, we are not joiners

Warm, empathetic, connecting one-on-one
From a ‘belonging instinct’, we are not spun
Incapable, we are to buzz in a collective swarm

We turn ‘the other way’ from dissonance
In deep, meaningful talk, we find resonance
Dissenters, we aren’t, but we refuse to play along

'Mavericks', we are labelled, but our minds are sated
From inclusion/exclusion, our worth is liberated
Our moral compass is what we always follow

Rock the boat if necessary, or bring it to the shore
Centred, free, independent to our very core
From our steadfastness flows our true freedom
