Here’s a profound philosophical poem by Harinder about Man, God, life and death, exclusively for Different Truths.

After creating all the beasts
The creator with himself was not very pleased
He thought of creating something new
A model of values and virtues
A mortal who would be His very own son
And so he added reason and compassion
Looking at his creation, he proudly said,
"You are surely more than flesh and blood
You are the Earth's own mighty king
Happiness and joy to the world you will bring
I have carved your organs with great care, my dear
So that you can think, feel and hear
Try to feel the pain of others
Try to share their grief too
Try to hear the voice of your brothers
Try to think what you can do".
The Man thanked God so very much
And God sent him on the Earth after the finishing touch
Man forgot that he had to make his creator proud
Instead, he became very vain and loud
He became rash and very unkind
To others' sorrow, he became blind
He heard the voice of his selfish heart
Deceitful, he became and mastered this art
He plundered his own mother Earth
God, with hard words, showed his wrath,
"I gave you soul; I gave you all
But you betrayed my trust in you
I gave you wealth, fortune, and health
I could have made you immortal too!
But now you will grow old and fragile
And face the demon of death too."
