Spread the love

An enigmatic, inward-looking love poem, by Saanj, exclusively for Different Truths.

My heart stands still…
The world around races,
My mind a fuzzy haze,
All around the blurry faces.
The truth yet glares at me,
Deny it, for years I did.
But steadfast it stares at me,
My reality as it yet again undid.
I had woven a blanket of comfort
Of words that I chose to believe.
Again seeking my warmth in them,
That love I yearned to receive.
Now there it stands and mocks me,
The words that I believed so true
It was still the same old lie
Dressed in flashy attire so new.
