An evocative poem by Misna – exclusively for Different Truths.

I am not Rapunzel
Though I am living in a floor of a building,
Isolated from the world
Not because of the fear
Created by a witch mother
But because of the drastic world,
Caused by an entity called covid – 19, Virus.

I am not Rapunzel
For I don't have a witch mother
But a loving and a kind mother
Whose face, I didn't see
For so many days and months!

I am not Rapunzel
For I don't have long golden hair
To lift the witch up to the tower,
But I have hope in my heart
To lift up the people I love and care
When the time is hard!

I am not Rapunzel
For I don't have healing hairs like her
But I so wish if I were Rapunzel, now
To heal the World by my hair,
Even though it costs my freedom like hers!
