Dr. Sujit Kumar Bhattacharya, B.Sc. Hons, MBBS and MD degrees, with merit, joined the faculty of medical sciences at BHU, as Assistant Professor. He retired as Professor and Dean of the Faculty, in 2006. He founded the Division of Rheumatology, in B.H.U. He served the Government of Republic of Botswana as Chairperson of Department of Medicine. He is associated with many social, cultural, literary and academic societies, which has bestowed many honours on him.
