Zindagi ek ajeeb Kahani –
Did anyone tell you?
A strange tale –
Of a Moon who flew,
From the universe, claiming 'It's untrue?’
Of a sun that caught flu, gently
Infecting all his solar crew?
Of a sky that stood in a queue,
To pay pennies for its blue?
About the cloud that could chew
Gum, spitting here and there,
Without any rue?
Of a frog in bog who knew
How to coo and woo?
Of a sapling that threw
Tantrums, and never grew?
Of a bird who roared, in her
Nest when bored?
Of the wind who gave no clue,
Of a silent lullaby that blew?
Of a girl behind the sequined veil,
Her feet drenched in rosy dew?
Of an intrepid prince – who grew,
But without a shoe?
Of every home that tells a tale,
Of who else, other than me and you?
