The film tells the story of Vir Jagannath Mhatre (Akshay Kumar), a man from a small village in Maharashtra with a big dream: to make air travel affordable for everyone.
Vir’s ambition is clear from the beginning. He dreams of starting a budget airline to break down economic barriers. The film skillfully shows his determination and his belief that direct action is necessary to bring about change. After clashing with his father, a non-violent teacher, Vir leaves for the Indian Air Force but soon departs to chase his entrepreneurial dream.
Vir’s journey is filled with challenges. He pitches his idea to Paresh Goswami (Paresh Rawal), a powerful aviation figure who mocks him at first but later becomes his rival. The film’s tension builds as Vir faces setbacks due to corruption and bureaucracy. His dream is constantly tested by those who want to see him fail, but he never gives up.
Back home, Vir finds support in his wife, Rani (Radhika Madan), who runs a successful bakery. Their relationship adds a touching layer to the story, showing how their mutual determination and love help them face societal expectations. The film cleverly shows why Vir remains single and how Rani, after many rejections, finds a perfect partner in him.
The climax is both intense and emotional. Vir’s battle against the odds reaches its peak, and his dream hangs by a thread.
