Kamrun explores identity and poetic boundaries in this evocative piece, exclusively published on DifferentTruths.com to challenge modern societal labels.
From the core of the heart…
when every word is dropping down
Dip your heart and feel that sound
Is it dripping or creating a melodious sound?
Have you found it?
If yes…
Then listen to yourself; believe in yourself
That you are the best.
A poet is born
There is no boundary of age, gender or status quo…
You can't guess them, nor can you judge
They are different but normal men
So, they also eat food, feed on food,
Wear a dress and drink tea or coffee
Like anyone else.
Nowadays…
A hijab is a sign of a Muslim girl
A girl with a T-shirt a bit different
A girl in a saree so glamorous
So, all kinds of dresses give you a tag
Are you sober, fancy or anything else?
So be careful about your words
Appearance or anything else
never can make sense…
Are you humble or really dumb?
If you think,
A poet must be a different one
A Muslim girl who is very normal
Can't be a poet at all…
Then change your mind
and open your eyes…
See, this is a chessboard
where the queen is the ultimate lord.
