The Bookish Dove

The enchanting world of books has been celebrated in verse, by Sankalpita, exclusively for Different Truths.

Mr. Darcy is who I want,
It will be phenomenal even with his continuous taunt.
Harry Potter is who I need,
Loads of butter beer, whom I can feed.
Percy Jackson will do too,
If he finally understands the nuances to woo.
Edward Cullen is so pale,
Yet for him girls throw back their veil.
With Sherlock Holmes I shall hit the jackpot.
As long as his adventures do not send me to heaven’s cot.
Hercule Poirot and his grey cells so refined,
Will surely kick every villain’s behind.
Day, with a mind as brilliant as the light from the moon,
Is sure to make all girls swoon.
Riley with his time travelled innocence,
Is just so awesome.
Magic, mystery, history, love.
All swarming atop a bookish dove.
