Spread the love

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Rhiannon pens a sensual love poem exclusively for Different Truths.

Smelling lynx deodorant
counting his breaths and trailing my eyes
over his slouched body. One arm leant
out the open window
other hand lazily resting on the steering wheel.

I snap my thumb away
from the metallic heat of the lighter,
still the cigarette is unlit.

Flicking the lighter, he smirks
and holds out a smoke. I breathe in
trying to supress a cough.

With the grin
of a teenage boy
in a car, with a girl, he slides
his hand onto my thigh.
