Embracing Solitude: Finding Value in Alone Time

Sometimes
in moments
when left
alone to
Yourself,
when
only the click
of the clock
punctuates
moments,
barring which
silence
emptiness
pervades,
you doubt
are these
moments
of any worth?
Yes, they save
you
from drowning
your voice
in the voice
of the world
you glimpse,
gauge
the road map
of your run,
sojourn...

though
desolate
are those
moments
when
you hide
your freezing
feet
under the
blanket,
fighting the
December
cold that
sets in...

You
wait and watch...

it matters
little
to the world
outside
the world
whirling
around
with a buzz,
people
jostling into
each other...
wild revels
rat races!

with
acceptance
graceful,
you watch,
the long
distance
runner
now, relaxed
peaceful...
yes, moments
matter!
