Embrace a Tender Heart: On the Cusp of New Beginnings

Jennifer’s haikus are a captivating blend of introspection, nostalgia, and connection, showcasing a vivid tapestry of thoughts, emotions, and experiences, exclusively for Different Truths.

lost in my thoughts
meandering through the day
time evaporates

***

we reap
from the sacrifices
of those who came before

***

letting go
of lifelong dreams is hard when
life has other plans

***

time is
different
when travelling

***

my cats always know
when I'm going on a trip–
suitcase is the tell

***

on the cusp
of a new age
my heart is tender

***

the power of
a single, shy
smile

***

the melody plays
and I am transported through
time and space to you

***

you have indelibly
written the poems of your love
on my heart forever

***

sunlight dances
upon the page
illuminating words
