Decoding the Bittersweet Balance of Life and Death

evening aarti
the fragrance of burnt camphor
fills the air

summer noon
the pause between grandpa’s snores

spring corridor
sun-kissed
Ma’s tant saree

cracked porcelain
a hearse crosses a wedding car
both decked with flowers
