Helpless Flames

All sides bear the stain, fingers slick with red,
Netanyahu's rage, a storm overhead.
Bombs on Gaza's plea, flattening the dead—
Madness unchained, where the children once tread.

Iran's desperate stand, self-defense they cry,
Drones carving vengeance across the sky.
Existential war, or just another lie?
Missiles meet missiles, and the innocents die.

Trump pushes harder, though his own turn away,
Opposition swells like a gathering fray.
US carriers prowl the strait night and day,
Choking the oil that we all need to pay.

Senseless the salvos from every front line,
Hospitals vaporized, schools turned to shrine
Of shattered toy soldiers, a grim, twisted sign—
No victors emerge from this blood-soaked design.

Power plants erupt in unholy blaze,
Blackouts blanket the desperate haze.
Energy wars for the pipelines' malaise,
Feeding fat cats while the world frays.

Climate weeps as the wildfires rage,
Smoke veils the sun, turns the blue skies to cage.
Deserts creep wider, oceans boil with rage—
Future generations inherit the plague.

Global prices soar like a predator's claw,
Bread for the hungry now beyond the poor's draw.
Riots in streets where the empty trucks crawl,
No soul escapes this war's widening maw.

The UN stands helpless, fists clenched in vain,
Resolutions gather dust in the rain.
Vetoes like daggers, diplomacy's chain—
Puppets of power, silent in pain.

World leaders posture on polished wood floors,
While widows keen through the shrapnel-scarred doors.
Proxies clash in the sand, settling scores
That no one remembers, just endless wars.

Blame the ayatollahs with their fiery creed,
Netanyahu's fury, Trump's reckless deed.
All architects of this collective bleed—
Enough! Let the weapons recede.

From every corner of this battered globe,
We cry for the ceasefire, for hope to probe.
Share the black gold, let the tankers float,
Heal the scorched earth, keep the climate afloat.

I've seen enough graves to last ten lifetimes through,
Heard the last breaths of the me and the you.
One human family, fractured askew—
End it now, before there's nothing left true.

Rise, global kin, link your hands in the night,
Demand the madmen step back from the fight.
UN, find your spine, ignite the light—
Peace for the living, end the endless night.

No more excuses, no more "just one more strike."
Lay down the rage, let the healing alike
Wash over the ruins, from strait to the spike.
We deserve the dawn, not this hellish blight.

I love how this post brings so many pressing societal issues together. Often, discussions about activism focus on one issue, but here, it’s clear how interconnected all these causes are, like gender equality and animal rights. This kind of holistic view helps us understand the need for systemic change.
