What a book! And to think that its first book by the author is truly amazing. This is a collection of 60 short stories/events/real-life anecdotes that occurred in the author’s life at different points of time.
I have been searching for an engaging read since the last few days. When I started reading this book, honestly speaking I was not expecting much. But this book completely threw me off balance. What a book! And to think that its first book by the author is truly amazing. This is a collection of 60 short stories/events/real-life anecdotes that occurred in the author’s life at different points of time.
A few of them talk about general events, some are satires on the current situation of our society. Some point out the double standard of our mindset. This is a real treasure in these times when people almost lost the fine art of putting something subtly.
I must say that the author has a great sense of humour and he doesn’t hesitate to make his readers laugh even at his own expense. From politicians to the education system, from realities of different government plans to the reality of our society, this book covers a number of themes and topics.
I liked almost all of the chapters, but few if my favourite and recommendation from this book are, The Protest Technologist, Left is always right, Mentally Yours, The Ventilator, The Frog Soup, Chinese Checkers, The Bada Gilaas, Pakoda Tales, Name Dropping, The Education Minister.
The language is humorous and quirky. The cartoon made by the author adds beauty to the stories.
I couldn’t put it down until I finished it. And I am sure, this book is going to be on my instant reading desk for a long time. And I will read it every now and then. The language is humorous and quirky. The cartoon made by the author adds beauty to the stories.
The narration is conversational.
