Spilt

An inward-looking poem, by Anoucheka, about lost love, exclusively for Different Truths.

My heart, cracked,
Has had a bit of itself
Broken off at this last blow!

Now, it remains like a broken crystal,
Meant to be left to rest
Somewhere where the ambient energy
Will allow it to immerse itself
Into powerful violin tunes!

It has tried, said it to itself
It has done its best
Now, it is being compelled to give up!

Pray, freedom has always been there
Love revolves around it
And if it be a requirement for happiness
Then why do we have to deprive ourselves of it?

The sunset’s molecules sing for this freedom
May they nest in your soul
And may you live as you want to!

I will be watering my wings with mineral water
And I will fly away
As a broken heart shall never find its place
Neither amidst your surroundings
Nor amidst that of the rest of the world!

I will fly to there where the energy is powerful
To there where I will realise it not
When the time shall come to shed off this mortal body
As content will I be

Both in body and soul!
My heart will not bear any grudge upon me
As it knows that emotions
Matter not and never will!
