Unstoppable Serenity: The Secret to a Tranquil Release

When the last few breaths linger in my lungs
Release me, let me go tranquilly
I have lived my life well with grace and dignity
through the sizzling array of emotions, life churns
Seen abhorrence and kindness, known hurt and healing
Have sunk in sorrow to rise on the crest of joy
Been smitten by infatuations and broken by betrayals
Today I rest grateful, blissful, joyful
in the cradle of contentment, and I say,
“Thank you for your love, thank you for your patience;
Thank you for the wonderful people you are.
I love you just as much. So —
Rejoice, rejoice as I go, for I go in peace.”
