Three Ways to Make Avocados Taste Sumptuously Delicious

In my previous column, I had stressed on the health benefits of avocados. Many of the readers complained of it not being delicious. Well, for all of us who have not developed the taste for this super food, I suggest three ways to make it sumptuously delighting. Trust me, once you try any of these ways, I can assure you would relish it and would never miss this wondrous fruit. So, give a try to any of these ways and give your meals a nutritional boost with good amounts of healthy fats, fibers and proteins.

1. Smoothies & Soups

Avocados can be mixed with the fruits of your choice to get a smoothie packed with vitamins, minerals, fats, proteins and fibers.

Smoothies, as we all know to serve well for meals as well as a substitute for snacks. Avocados can be mixed with the fruits of your choice to get a smoothie packed with vitamins, minerals, fats, proteins, and fibers. You can also make a smoothie by simply mixing avocados with yogurt, milk or buttermilk. If you don’t want to blend the fruits together, try blending the fruits individually and arranging it layer by layer in the bowl or glass. Sprinkle condiments of your choice to add to your customized taste. You can try avocado soup or avocado chunks can be added to other soups of your choice like vegetable, tomato or chicken soup.

2. Sandwiches & Salad Dressings

Avocados can be used as a substitute for regular spreads such as butter or margarine.

Grilled avocados serve perfect as side dish.

Grilled avocados serve perfect as side dish. They can be grilled simply by cutting into halves, removing the seed and cooking by placing the cut side down on the grill for nearly five minutes. Before grilling, drizzle the halves with lemon juice and olive oil. If you are not interested in grilling them, you can fry or bake the slices. Once grilled, baked or fried, they can be seasoned with condiments of your choice. Enjoy them with dipping sauces and ketchup.
