The Spring

In this evocative poem Neelam likens life to a spring and a river, exclusively for Different Truths.

You
Have a spring of energy
Flowing in the ravines of your soul.

The spring,
In its nascent stage of life,
Unaware of the potential energy it carries,
Hesitates in its path.
It doesn’t know
That it shall one day
Transform into a beautiful and strong river.
Which shall give life
To many seeds on its banks,
Which shall be drunk
By humans and animals alike
Who will revere it with love,
Which shall even have the latent energy
To destroy forests and villages.

You
Should instil self-confidence
In the ability of the spring,
After all, in its growth,
Lies your power
To conquer the world
And also shift the horizons!
