Confined to my mystical silence I bloom like a flower And my aromatic fragrance silently floats To scent and beautify the morning hours This is where I was born With brilliant dazzles of dewdrops atop Caressed and nurtured by spring Awaits autumn to fall All look like a mirage You say you are on a pilgrimage My pyramid of thoughts is seized by dawn When my petals scattered on the wide-spread lawn

Rajashree Mohapatra, born in Odisha, has received her master’s degree in ‘History’, and ‘Journalism and Mass Communications’ from Utkal University. She is a teacher by profession. Being a postgraduate in ‘Environmental Education and Industrial Waste Management’ from Sambalpur University, she has devoted herself as a social activist to the cause of social justice, environmental issues, and human rights in remote areas through non-governmental organisations.
