Let not our Ignorance…

Ashok’s poem is about a poet’s duties in difficult times, exclusively for Different Truths.

The heart of a poet is calm and composing
Aspires to peep into the hearts of suffering;
With a hope to pacify with words and actions
A poet thirsts to perform like a moral human.

Upholding human values with a righteous spirit
Uplifting the sagging morale of the deprived lot;
A poet seeks to bring to light the different truths
Devoid of bias, irrespective of religions and faiths.

Vying to promote a healthy and cordial relation
Poets jot verses to boost human compassion,
Yes, striving for the overall welfare of humanity
Poets weave words of trust, concern and humility.

Realise! Moral actions reflect a life’s real essence
Let not our ignorance snatch away life’s fragrance;
Perhaps the heart of every poet follows the concept
Offering love and solace with an unwavering precept.
