Excellence has no Last Word…!

An inward-looking poem of hope, by Monika, exclusively for Different Truths.

Often, after the anguish
absolution arrives as the light.
When pain afflicts,
a moment arrives
to pull us through.
That is when we understand
We’re fine
faring a rough patch.
We’re more
in our forte.
We’re better
to surpass the albatross.
We grasp a little
at a time
to live momentous,
to appreciate consummately,
to judge hardly ever.
We learn to accept
that excellence
has no last word.
We’re only a minute gear
in the gizmo
that the Universe is.
Yet this fragment is salient.
Absolution,
just like a bloom,
lives through
sunlight, rain
and season’s
ire and delight.

In Hope

  • I love your words, Monica.
    Sincerest thanks for sharing.
Please don’t be too disappointed by the neglect on my website. Health issues have been more than a little troublesome lately, and I’m hanging on by my fingernails to whatever commitments I can catch up with.
Just a newbie here, but love this sight and long for more time to investigate it more thoroughly.
