The Race

Diwkar takes a tongue-in- cheek look at the society, where flattery matters, in this verse, in Different Truths.

The crux of the matter,
Is only to flatter,
The world shines at bay,
In search of who’s better?

Better is love and care,
Like a rainbow, a blissful layer,
Oh, Did I miss the point,
Yes, I do & it’s fair,

The landscape of eternity,
Captured in my fraternity,
Whose existence is a riddle,
Not to be misread as maternity,

The rosy ripples of thoughts,
Misunderstood & hardened knots,
Life still flows with a flow,
Changing umpteen plots,

Better is the silent joy,
A tight hug & a toy,
Entangled human race,
Trained to become a decoy,

The shadows will be killed by the sun,
Changing paradigm, leaving stun,
But the race will last forever,
As the sanity will die, for fun.
