How to Find Hidden Light

it seemed
the dark sky
descended
for ever
and day of light
remained
a distant dream...

you floated
through the
thoroughfares
of life,
a stray wanderer...

your voyaging
consciousness
brushing through
things, people
vague, uncertain,
while the night
cast its shadow, mysterious
above all...
hush!
a strange
fragrance
wafted in.
a lonesome
flower
blooming
elsewhere...
the night
holds secrets.

refusing sleep
I peep at
skies above
there! there
the canopy above
beaming bright
with stars!

No!
the sky
has not fallen
full,
may be
just peeled out
its outer layer
that fell on
earth like a
blanket.
we need peck
at it, persistent
the dark blanket
to carve out
holes
that let out
radiance
from above...
