Francesco’s poem evokes cries, betrayal, and bitter carnage that flowed from the darkness. Explore the shadow work of facing profound indifference and stolen hope, for Different Truths.
Scarred
by foul
indifference,
I heard cries
stolen moans
vile betrayal
flowing
from the cesspool
steeped in bitte
carnage.
Nor were you
a bold dream
an execrated sailing ship
a brave warrior
a true witness
of the infinite
courage
an alabaster
fortress
son of the
red
sunset.
