Ram’s poem tells us that we can’t pour from an empty cup. This is a call to self-love, self-worth, and self-discovery, for Different Truths.
In the flurry of chores,
you discover
I have gone into hibernation.
In the cobwebs of duties,
you notice
I have slipped through the hourglass.
In the eagerness to get the likes of others,
You find
I have gone into a shell.
So, follow me!
I tell you,
I want to stay with you,
handhold you.
I wish to see you grow,
help you find what you truly are.
So, follow me!
I tell you,
I stay awake
even as you sleep.
I throb,
even as you are down.
So, follow me!
I tell you,
no matter what,
I will always be there
by your side
until you fulfil me.
So, follow me!
