When Love Leaves: Navigating a World of Loss

My grief is this broken fantasy land.
Yes, there is an endless hole in my heart.
So what? I miss dancing in the air,
Living inside my fever dream, smiles forced down.

Each corner of my mind is no longer filled with art.
Instead, I view the world through my foggy lens.
The rain still falls through careless clouds.
The forest remains green and growing.

Love and relationships still linger,
But none compares to the love we shared.
Hearts still beat.
The glow, untouched, unbroken, and bright.
All dreams but ours come true in this biased realm.
How cruel. How unfair that…
Our laughs were boundless, but we weren’t.
And now only tears fall without end.
It all just seems wrong because you’re gone.
Where did the magic go?

But alas, we are all leaving somehow.
In love, in loss, into a fantasy vow.
