Happy Memories Fuel the Fire of Love

In a reflective poem, Jennifer feels that our heart cave is a magical sanctuary, a place where cherished memories and passions are harmoniously residing, exclusively for different truths.

the cave at the centre of my heart
is a magical place where
everyone and everything I love
and everything I’m passionate about
live

all good, content, happy
memories abide here

all of the bright, shining moments
and all of the calm,
quiet slivers
of joy live here

the deep loves live here
the echoes of times with
those who have touched me
to my core
reside here
and join together
in love’s chorus

and when I hear a melody
or see a brilliant sunset
or hear a poem that pulls me in
I hear love’s whisper
echo here
in love’s heart cave

I feel it beating within me
and wish I could stay longer
to feel the reverberations
and hear love’s voice penetrate through

but

I must rejoin
the outside world
to face all that life offers
but the heart cave
stands open
for another day.
