Dr Molly describes Kerala as a serene state in the backwaters, offering a peaceful atmosphere where life begins unhurriedly, an exclusive for Different Truths.
Enviable
on earth
is this part
of the
world,
my Kerala
with demure
backwaters
boulevarded
by
Kera trees
waving
palm fronds
greeting
the morn...
slowly
life stirs,
floats...
canoes
ply
households
awake...
men await
morning
sip of tea
on benches
in front
of the naive
thatched
tea shop
discussing
matters
global
political!
while the
rustic
women folk
keep busy
blowing
into frozen
hearths
to light up
and cook...
the dog and
kitten
waiting
watching
for the
morning
morsel
while kids
at huts
curl up
in morning
slumber...
here is
peace,
solace,
come
wearied
minds!
slow down!
seek this
serene
lap of
nature
to settle
your nerves.
