First Rain

An evocative rain poem by Sara – exclusively for Different Truths.

It rained, it rained.
Yes! It rained yesterday.
To wash away all the sorrows.
Cooling you inside from the hurt.
Twinkling stars will be all over.
The sky will be so clear.
Rainbows, butterflies.
Running children in the fields;
Splashing their feet on wet grass
Hoping for each other a new start.
Fresh sunlight will be everywhere.
All of us will smile with no stares.
It rained, it rained, and yes it rained yesterday!
Let's celebrate and don't waste our time in haste.
