At Age Twenty-five

Here’s an inward-looking, contemplative poem, by Rajumoni, exclusively for Different Truths.

Age is amazing!
I am teaching the songs of life.
It exercises the tune of craving
To move forward.

There is a silent satisfaction at age.
It draws pictures of incoming desires.
It wipes away the
The playfulness of mind,
Standing in the twenty-fifth year,
I laughed at the colours of the day.
The rainbow admires
The curiosity of watching it.
Looking ahead, I was excited,
The dream expanded.
I laughed.
I saw selfishness, rejection, deception,
And understanding of
The irritation of what could be toxic!

At 25 years,
His friend grew, yet it was as though
Someone was always lying down!
I couldn't stop his presence that day.

Yes, age is a witness to life
At an early age.
At that age,
It teaches the most amazing
Experience of joy.

Age extends.
Still, the eyes are filled.
With cravings, and
Loving experiences are
Constantly coming back.

I transformed the world that
was caught.
It surprises people even today.
Many get the fullness of life.
Many remain in a state of shock.
Even after a successful life,
Everyone in the world is
Left with regrets.

I thought of things
In my twenty-five,
Just look back today
