All is Not Lost

Harinder talks beautifully about life lessons and motivation through this poem, exclusively for Different Truths.

Every day with a fistful of mixed seeds
I went running to my fields
And then threw them carelessly on the soil
After a few weeks without any toil
I saw the shoots in the air
I cried in despair
I saw more weeds than the flowers
I had wasted my time, my youth, and my power
I came back with a heartbreak
I soon realised my mistake
The fool in me was expecting a crop of orchids
After having sown the wrong seeds.
But the story doesn’t end here
I will tell you more if you lend me your ear
I went back to my fields
And this time with the right seeds
With the right direction I achieved success
And was soon out of my distress
So, if you have gone astray, all is not lost
Just try to regain your lost Paradise at any cost.
