Dr. Supatra’s evocative poem visits the world of a performer, exclusively for Different Truths.
Nearer the end And so much left undone Untouched…unsaid Waning lights Fading music The curtains Beginning to drop The audience now Restless Shifting focus A new order awaits… Something must be done And soon On an instant Something once dreamt of And forgotten In those chases and battles Then bring on my wear Roll on the mascara Moisten my skin Lights! Camera! Action! Motion! Feat! Cheer! Applause… Draw apart the curtains A grander show is on the way Audience… Do not leave The candle flickers The voice cracks But the best is yet to come…
