To the One Who Left the Earth

Misna pens and dedicates a poem, in memory of her uncle Th. Pawlen Singh, exclusively for Different Truths.

You have crossed the paths
Beyond our mind could think
How it looks like!

But if I must talk about imagination,
I would like to say –
I imagine
It must be filled with light,
Carpeted with petals of roses,
With not a single thorn!

It must be scented too
And it must be a perfumed path
By lavender and sandalwood,
That’s what I imagine
And that soothes the mind for a while,
Thinking you must be walking on that path
Leaving behind every cloak,
Every part of pain or trouble thoughts
And memories of the Earth!

Then, I hope our despair
And feeling of loss
Won’t hinder your path
For I never want you to face any trouble
In your new journey,
Not even a slight pain
That only distant memory could give sometimes!

For I wanted you to become a beam
That can penetrate the windowpane of
Earthly love and terrestrial desires,
To reach and find solace
In the heavenly garden of eternal peace!
