Doctor

Here is a poem by Soumya, about a lady doctor, a gallant knight, exclusively for Different Truths.

You see that lady all in white?
She is our own gallant knight
She battles with all her might
Putting up a valiant fight
Sending illness on a flight
Relieving the patients’ fright
Her schedule is oh so tight!
Hardly does she sleep at night
The sick find hope at her sight
She helped make many lives bright
And made so many worries light
But don’t you think that it is right
That she too needs to grab a bite
Take some rest, be held tight
By a loved one, and she might
Want to sit, not stay upright
Need to relax, sleep at night
Rest a while, and make light
Conversation with whom she might
She is human too, our white knight!
