The Wild March Winds …

As cyclones ravage us, Sarala remembers the romance of March winds, in this evocative love poem, exclusively for Different Truths.

The March winds
Swept away her heart
To the wildest of thick woods
She ran and ran to trace her lover
Who were hiding scared of the wild wind
Somewhere behind a majestic tree!
The moment she neared
He ran faster than he could
Through the March winds
Which uprooted many hearts
In love
She was persistent to catch him running after him
Her body so light and fragile
She could easily run
No problem she faced
She murmured
The spring would definitely arrive cheering every heart
That is lonely and sad,
She waited,
Waited and waited
Then she realised
The spring is near
As she inhaled beautiful
Fragrance from the nearby garden!
She found him at last
Sitting in the rose garden
She paused for a while
Ran to him and held him
Never spoke a word
Their eyes spoke
All they wanted to convey!
The spring arrived,
With pomp and show
When every heart which was barren
Filled with love
And every garden
Filled with flowers!
Hey spring is here,
Let’s enjoy the beautiful
Spring!
They walked hand in hand
Through the green meadows
Singing praises to God
For not depriving them
Of the beautiful spring!
