Letter to God

A heart-wrenching letter to God, to kill Coronavirus, by Sarala, exclusively for Different Truths.

Dear Ever-Loving Father,

Don’t be upset reading my letter,
Which is full of sorrows only,
So far, I have never complained but
I thought and thought before
I reached out to that paper lying on the table for long!
Oh! where is my pencil, I can’t find,
Have you hidden it away from me?
Okay, I have another one –
I want to request you my father,
Please take away this Coronavirus from the
World, which has killed many millions and
She is still running amok for more prey to
Satisfy her thirst for blood!
The economy is in the doldrum and
We, the people, finding it hard to have a morsel a day!
Of father dear if you don’t chide her and
Kill her without mercy,
We, your innocent children will all die, without any care.
Oh father! Listen to my plea,
Which is written with the ink of my heart!
I hope you will descend soon and
Do the right thing,
Lest the world will be no more joyous like before!

Your loving daughter,
