I Hear Him in Sleep …

God takes care of his devotee even in her sleep. An evocative poem by Sarala, exclusively for Different Truths.

The words of God I hear even
When I am fast asleep
In my dreamworld
I feel him holding me
In my fear, He consoles me
When in tears, He wipes them with his loving palm
He strokes my hair
Till I fall asleep on His divine lap
At my side He sits
Patting me gently
Singing lullabies
His bright face so calm n gentle
His eyes full of compassion n love
I fear none now
As He is always with me
Caring and loving
He feeds me with
Nectar from his divine heart
So sweet a feeling I get
I am blessed
I am blessed
With Him at my side
His divine grace is always with me!
